Announcement

I am so excited to let everyone know that I was just accepted to the University of Utah. I will be applying to the Psychology department as soon as I can and should be graduating in may of next year.

This makes the third university I will attend before receiving my bachelors degree. It is amazing to remember back to when I first started college at Weber State University. I chose that college because it is the only one that would accept me. I started out as an Elementary Education major. After attending classes there for one year, I married Josh. Due to morning sickness, I was unable to complete my third semester there. I took another year off after Benjamin was born.

Just before Benjamin's first birthday I applied for admission to Utah State University. Benjamin went to daycare and I returned to school as a Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) major. I did not enjoy any of my FCS classes and decided to change my major again. After much praying and fasting, I decided on psychology. This has been the best decision I ever made. I LOVE all of my classes and I get so excited when I learn new things about the brain (just ask my husband, I often keep him up late at night explaining about neurons and axons and how they all work together at the same time).

When Josh recieved a job in Salt Lake I began praying and fasting for direction in how I should complete my education. I really felt that I was to complete my degree at the University of Utah. So I made an appointment with the Psychology advisor. He looked at my transcript from Utah State and told me that if I transfered, I would still be on track to graduate in Spring of 2010. I believe that attending the U will provide me with more opportunities to do research that will perhaps be benificial when I begin applying for graduate school in January.

In case you can't tell, I am way EXCITED!

  5. Congratulations!! That is great that you won't have to take extra classes to graduate, does that mean all of your credits transfer?

  6. Well I have an Associates degree so that counts for all my general requirements and there are only a couple of psychology classes that don't transfer but they still count toward my degree because you have to take so many psych credits of your choice.
