Today is my Brother-in-law Derek's 27th birthday. Derek was killed in a car accident about 2 years ago. I've spent a lot of time thinking about Derek today. I didn't really know him all that well and yet his death has impacted my life in so many ways. I am so grateful to know where he is and to have the knowledge that I will get a second chance at being his friend.
Oh, yes. That second chance will happen for all of us. I am so greatful that he came in my life when he did. Happy(late) birthday my friend Derek. :)
