Baby news

Shortly after being told that Josh and I wouldn't be able to have anymore children, I gave away most of our baby stuff. My first thought after finding out that I am pregnant was "How will we afford it, I gave everything away?" Then I got SO sick and the hospital/Doctor bills started coming. And then, we found out that we are having a girl so the few items that I do have (blankets, clothes etc) won't really work either.

Anyway, regardless of all that, I have been doing my best to get things ready for the little one. I bought a bedding set that should be here by tomorrow. I found out that my mother-in-law didn't sell our crib at her yard sale so now we just have to come up with a mattress. I gave away our changing table but my sister has a dresser that she is going to give us. I guess my mother-in-law also has our infant car seat but it got left outside so I have to look at it to see if it is salvageable. I am planning to buy a new cover for it and the rest is plastic so it's probably okay. I think we are going to buy a bassinet (I gave Benjamin's away). I am not into the co-sleeping thing but I like having the baby close at night. As far as clothing, I think I can get a few sleepers and onsies for pretty cheap and maybe check out clearance sells for other things.

So lastnight I was laying down and Benjamin rested his head on my tummy. I moment later the baby kicked pretty hard and Benjamin said "Her kicked me on my face!" He then proceeded to tell me that he could hear her talking to him. She was saying that she wants to go to Betsy's house so that Benjamin can play with Daniel. He told his Sunday school teacher that as soon as the baby "get's out of mommy's tummy," he's going to bring her to primary. "And if her cries, I going to hold her and say, don't cry baby Primary is not scary."

  2. That would actually be great if you really want to do that. I have so many blankets and clothes/shoes that would not work for a girl.

  4. I have so much girl stuff, I would love to let you have some/borrow all of it if you want. It's not brand new by any means, but you're more than welcome to it. Who knows if I'll have another girl someday, but I'm sure it won't be before you're done needing it. Let me know.

  5. Thanks Lisa, that would actually be great. We'll just have to plan a time that I can stop by your house. I will be going to Logan sometime this week. Let me know if there is a day that works for you.
