We went to the Mormon Miracle Pageant to celebrate my birthday. We thought it would be fun to get there early in the day so we would have time to do fun stuff before the show. Boy were we wrong! There is NOTHING to do in Manti. During the 2-weeks that the pageant is running, they have some activities and stuff but nothing opens/starts before 5pm. We toured a couple of church-history sites and went to an art museum. Finally we found a park and let the kids run around until they opened the gates for the show.
We ended up sitting in front of a family who lives in Magna. We talked with them for a while and my kids ate all of their licorice (: (you would think I never feed them!!!)
Brianna fell asleep pretty quick after the show started. Ben laid down on the grass about halfway through but then got back in his seat when the fires (special effects of the show) started.
The ride home was LOOONG! Brianna was so tired but couldn't get comfortable in her car seat so she just kept crying. We stopped at a McDonalds in Orem that is open all night (and was surprisingly busy for it being 2:00 in the morning!) so that I could use the restroom. While I was gone Josh helped the kids get more comfortable and they slept the rest of the way home.
Overall, it was a great trip!
